notes:	"After 5 months of hard work by our product team, our Web CMS product is able to run in Windows Azure services. On today, my 40th birthday, I moved my blog site, which is running on ADXSTUDIO CMS 7.0 to Windows Azure. We had to make many changes to our CMS to make it suitable for running in Azure. The bulk of the work was to rewrite all of our data classes to use a provider pattern, with the existing implementation moved to a SQL provider, then adding a new SDS provider that we can use for Azure deployments. Additional work was done to make the CMS compatible with a partial trust environment, and to remove some legacy code that we still had but that would not run in Azure. Finally, we changed the final dependencies we had in our security model to completely rely on membership and role providers as we could no longer depend completely on Active Directory. Our requirements were that we have to support running in a development environment, on Windows Servers for on-prem and partner-hosted scenarios, and now on Azure, all with the same product with the only difference being configuration changes in the web.config file. It was a lot of work, but I am confident that it was worth it. Going through this effort has made our product better by supporting more deployment environments, running in higher security environments, and being more extensible for the future by using providers. Having the first-to-market advantage of being the first commercial CMS to run in Azure is probably going to be beneficial as well."
